2016 brought more interest to aerodynamics than ever before
In retrospective 2016, was a great year for aerodynamics and here a brief summary of some articles that made it count for OptiFlow.
Aerodynamics, a must in the future
Dutch publication, EVO Magazine - Vervoer, has published a visionary article on what the future holds for tractor and trailer design.The article expects Aerodynamics to play a major role in this future. It forecasts a real change in the development of more streamlined trailer shapes which will continue driving efficiency improvements, coupled with the expectation that implementing new legislation will stimulate change. The WABCO Optiflow team was proud to note that OptiFlow was included in the article as a key player in the Efficiency Runs I and II and the recent Platooning challenge.

A more efficient tractor-trailer combination
The Efficiency Run program by Krone and Mercedes Benz truck is without a doubt a major highlight in 2016. OptiFlow had the opportunity to be covered as one of the contributors to reach the 20% fuel reduction as stated by the companies that participated in the testing phase.
