OptiFlow Research Makes Scientific News

At WABCO, we believe that a deep understanding of complex airflow behaviours is key to designing the best aerodynamics solutions. As a result, many of OptiFlow’s key differentiators originate from our leading-edge research in this field.

The latest edition of the Journal of Wind Engineering and Industrial Aerodynamics features an article on some of our current experimentation and groundwork.
The article titled “Fuel economy improvement by means of two European tractor semi-trailer combinations in a platooning formation” reports on the results of our investigation determining the benefits of platooning at different distances and under varying atmospheric conditions.

Please find the article and the findings here.
